We love this so much!

8 – 9 MacIntosh apples

1 cup water

¼ - ½ cup Cinnamon Imperials (I used Red Hots because I couldn’t find the Cinnamon Imperials)

Core apples and cut in half. In a large pot, add apple halves and water. Bring to boil on high heat. Let them cook down about 20 – 30 minutes on medium heat. Stir occasionally so the sugar doesn’t burn on the bottom. Remove the peel as it's cooking. Add the cinnamon imperials while still hot.  Use a mash with potato masher as needed if it's still too chucky. Chill.

Note: I like to sprinkle granola on top of my applesauce and warm it in the microwave. Add a little cool whip on top for a tasty snack.
